December Newsletter. Happy New Year!

Hello, everyone. I have left this newsletter to the very last minute, so that I can wish you all a happy New Year. I hope it brings you happiness and good health. This year has been busy with one book published and my manuscript, The German Half-Bloods coming to the end of its first draft. It’s also been a good year for awards with five awards won worldwide in 2017 for Swearing Allegiance, Blood Moon, Mercy Carver and The Scattered Flock. And as a bonus, I got three new Bestsellers under my belt. I also took a trip to Louisiana, and the Miami Readers’ Favourite Awards, which was a blast.JANA.GOOGLE+February2017
In other news: I have just signed contracts for The Flock Trilogy, and The Mercy Carver Series with Cherry Hill, Audiobooks Publishing. I’ve had a listen to the two narrators, both British, and I am delighted with their superb voice skills. Look out for these five books in 2018.
On a sad note, I lost my beloved dog, Reina. The house is empty without her, and I am still coming to terms with losing my companion of 14 years. Someone asked me the other day if I was going to get another dog. I said, no. She was more than a dog to me. She was my family, my muse, my confidant, and I’m afraid, irreplaceable, at least that’s how I see things at the moment.jan_010
So, my dear readers and friends. I wish you all well. Keep your eyes open for next year’s releases of The German Half-Bloods and a sequel to Swearing Allegiance, as yet untitled. That’s right, I’m finally going to write it!
Lots of love
Jana xxxx

I am so sorry for your loss. Only those of us who have lost a beloved furbaby can understand. What you don’t understand yet is that although you never replace your dear one, there is so much room in your heart to make that commitment again..and your reward is unconditional love. Once you have experienced it, your life is never the same without it. So, please do not deny yourself the gift your sweet Reina gave you. Please honor her by providing your love to another furbaby desperately needing you. I truely believe that is why God gave us these precious gifts. I hope you are able to go past the pain of loss and grief and maybe someday allow yourself the gift of love just waiting for you. You deserve to be loved.
P.S. I love your writing. You have a special gift. Thank you for sharing that gift with your readers.

Thank you, Anne. You have no idea how much your kind words have affected me. I am still grieving, and cannot imagine going through this pain again, but hopefully, as time passes I will do as you suggest and love another furbaby, as you called my Reina. It’s a good term. She was my baby.
Wishing you a wonderful New Year. I will let you know if I ever take the plunge and go to a doggie shelter xxxxxxx
      Thank you, Anne
